Honda CR-V 2004

We had had our Peugeot Partner for about 2 and a half years but somehow didn't feel like the sort of vehicle we wanted to keep in the long term.  Christine has had a good few Hondas before and I've had lots of motorcycles from the same manufacturer.  We liked the basic concept of the Partner Tepee but the suspension and steering left a lot to be desired.  We started looking around at CR-V's and found this one owner Premiere edition in outstanding condition.

I contacted Honda Customer relations and found it was a very limited special edition with only 250 being made and almost 50 of those were automatics, ours being 5 speed manual.

Considering it was made in 2004 the spec is quite remarkable - Sat Nav, Heated Leather, 16" alloys and an Alpine Sound system with a DVD player under the seat and screens in the Headrests, together with wireless headphones for the rear passengers.

The rear seats had rarely been used, the picnic table which acts as the rear boot floor looked unused, as was the full size alloy spare wheel mounted on the tailgate.

Everything it left the factory with came with the car - book, keys, fobs and the like and it's a real credit to the original Lady owner.

I will spend some time injecting wax protection into all box sections and treat the whole underside similar materials from Bilt Hamber.  I have already attended to a small parking ding in one passenger door which hadn't broken the paint, plus a few very minor stone chips.  Many folk who don't know model years of these cars have said it looks to be just a couple of years old.
